Getting Started
An email address and a few minutes. Compass asks about your business, researches it for you, and builds your free 90 Day Growth Plan. You do not need any marketing knowledge to begin.
Business and brand setup take a few minutes. The strategic deep-dive takes most people eight to twelve minutes. Your plan then generates on screen in a minute or two.
No. Compass saves your progress at each step. Close the tab and come back whenever; you return to where you left off rather than starting again.
Yes. After it researches, Compass shows what it found as cards you confirm or correct before anything is used. You stay in control of the inputs.
The free 90 Day Growth Plan is a complete starting plan you keep. Pro replaces it with a fuller Marketing Strategy and opens the live dashboard: daily tasks, metrics, brand, research, the Data Hub, and Ask Compass.
Using Compass
From your strategy. Compass sequences the work into a daily list under Today, organised so you always know the next right move. Each task explains why it is there.
Open the task and give the proof that fits it: paste a link for something you published, drop in a screenshot or photo, upload a file, type a short note, enter a number, tick off a checklist, or simply mark it complete for private tasks. Compass only ever shows the prompt that matches the task.
Some tasks are ones Compass can do for you (for example drafting and scheduling a post). Those wait for your go-ahead: approve to let Compass carry it out, edit it first, or reject it. Nothing goes out on your behalf without your approval.
A read-only history of work Compass did automatically, like data syncs and routine compilation. You can open any row to see what happened; there is nothing you need to action.
Yes. Ask Compass is on every screen and can see your full plan, so you can ask why a task exists, ask it to rewrite something, or ask what to prioritise, and get an answer in context.
Yes. One account can hold several businesses, each with its own plan and subscription, and within a business you can run multiple workspaces for separate products or services. You switch businesses from the sidebar and workspaces from the top of the main area.

Your Data and Connectors
In the Data Hub, click Connect on the tile you want and complete that provider's sign-in. The tile then shows its status and when it last synced.
Seventeen at launch, across business performance (Stripe, Shopify, GA4), ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn), organic social (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, X), email (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot), and reviews (Trustpilot, Google Reviews, Cal.com).
No. Connecting tools lets Compass use your real numbers, but you can enter metrics by hand or upload a CSV instead, and connect later.
In the Data Hub, open the connector and choose Disconnect to stop new data, or delete the data already pulled. You can also manage this under your data controls in Settings.
Your Plan and Billing
The first 1,000 founding members pay £19/month, or £15.20/month billed annually, locked for life. After the founding spots fill, the standard rate is £39/month.
If you join as a founding member, your founder rate stays at that price for as long as you keep the subscription, even after the standard price applies to everyone else.
No. Cancelling does not free your founding spot; the founder rate stays with you.
From Settings → Billing.
Stripe handles payment; Compass never sees your card details. Receipts and invoices are available through your billing settings.
Pro is per business. The founder rate applies to your first business; further businesses are billed at the standard rate. Each Pro business includes three workspaces, with extra workspaces at £6/month.
Your Data and Privacy
No. Compass does not use your data, your inputs, or your plan outputs to train any AI model. Training is opt-out by default. See Trust & Safety.
No. Compass does not sell your data or share it with advertisers. It is shared only with the named sub-processors needed to run the service.
Mostly in the UK and the EU. Some sub-processors are in the United States, with transfers protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
In Settings → Data Rights, choose Export or Delete account. Deletion enters a 30-day window during which signing back in restores the account, then fully deletes. You can also email privacy@starlighttech.ai.
No. Every Compass output is advisory. You decide whether to accept, edit, or reject it before acting. Full detail is in the AI Use and Automated Decisions Notice.
Troubleshooting
Refresh the page; Compass resumes from where it was without losing your answers. If it still will not complete, use Ask Compass or raise a ticket with the time it happened.
The connection has likely expired. In the Data Hub, open that tile and reconnect (sign in with the provider again). The tile shows when it last synced so you can confirm it is flowing again.
Until a connector is live, metrics use the numbers you entered, so check the value and the period switcher (this month / last month / quarter). For a connected source, open its tile to check the last sync.
Those tasks run only after you approve them in Your focus today, so check for a waiting approval. If you approved it and it did not run, note the task and date and contact support.
Use the password-reset link on the sign-in page. If you are still locked out, see Contact, including the route for when you cannot access your account.
Check spam and that you used your sign-up address. If it still has not arrived, contact us.
