Liam Fisher

Liam Fisher is the founder of Starlight Tech and the creator of Compass, an AI marketing platform built for small businesses and the people running their own marketing. He started the company to solve a problem he has watched play out for 25 years: small businesses with everything going for them except the marketing firepower their larger competitors take for granted.

Across a career spanning a quarter of a century, Liam has led marketing and commercial growth for design-led technology and creative brands. Most recently he was Global Marketing Director for Affinity, the professional design platform acquired by Canva, where he led its global repositioning. Earlier leadership roles include Chief Commercial Officer at Tech Will Save Us and Chief Marketing Officer at Banjo Robinson, alongside directing marketing for the EdTech platform Teach Your Monster and the pop-culture brand Absolute Cult, where he worked across major entertainment franchises including Disney, Marvel and Star Wars.

His earliest years were rooted in music and entertainment, with roles spanning Warner Music, 20th Century Fox and London's live music scene. It was the start of a lasting belief that the strongest marketing is built on real cultural understanding, not tactics alone. Liam holds a First Class degree in Psychology from Loughborough University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

That combination of behavioural insight, commercial discipline and creative instinct is what he has built into Compass: a system that gives a small business owner the kind of marketing guidance usually reserved for companies with a full team behind them.

Family comes first for Liam. He is a husband and a father of four, and Starlight Tech is built around that as much as around marketing: proof that you can pour everything into a business you believe in and still be there for the people who matter most. He lives in Oxfordshire, with a lifelong devotion to Aston Villa, a passion for music that runs from rock and metal to folk and blues, and a deep love of film.
